There are calls on sports clubs across the county to get to work on pitching for a new €40 million funding package.
The 2018 round of special grants under the Sports Capital Programme has been increased from last years levels with new grants now being considered under the Sports Capital fund.
Government Chief Whip Minister Joe McHugh says the opportunities that this money provides for communities are invaluable.
