Donegal County Council is being urged to rectify problems with secure the main water line from the mainland to Gola Island.
The pipe rose to the surface at the beginning of the year, and was re-sunk with the assistance of local fishermen, but it rose to the surface again at the end of last month.
Now, local Councillor Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says with a festival taking place on the island at the weekend, the partially floating pipe presents a hazard to boats making the crossing:
