The Mica Action Group has announced plans to put forward an independent candidate for upcoming elections if no funding for a redress scheme is included in the October budget.
Thousands of homes in the county are affected by the defective block issue, and there’s still no confirmation of a scheme.
However, the Mica Action Group say they have been left frustrated time and time again with the lack of any real progress on the issue.
