There’s uncertainty over cross-border Translink services in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
The Chief Executive of the company has told a House of Lords Committee in London that he does not know if they will be able to continue running their all-island services.
There are fears cross-border bus services provided by Translink will cease to operate in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
At present, bus operators require a Community Licence to enable them to operate on both sides of the border.
However, Foyle MEP Martina Anderson is warning that this licence will no longer be valid post-Brexit.
She says the loss of all-Ireland services would be disastrous for communities North and South as it removes vital transport links between major cities on the island, particularly for students travelling for study.
Ms Anderson says it again underlines the need for Northern Ireland to secure special status and remain in both the customs union and single market.
