The Donegal and Inishowen League’s start their Oscar Traynor Trophy campaign on Saturday evening with a derby clash at Ballyare (K.O 7.30pm).
The north west sides are joined in their group by the Sligo/Leitrim League, so victory on the opening night for either side will be seen as essential.
Inishowen have had the better of the battles in recent years and they went onto to win the competition in 2015.
