The Donegal Senior Cross Country Championships took place on Sunday and it proved to be a very exciting and rewarding day.
A big crowd turned out to what was a classic cross-country course and a hotly anticipated battle in the senior ranks.
There was only inches between first and second place in the Senior Women’s when Nakita Burke of Letterkenny AC just edged out Teresa Doherty of Finn Valley at the line. Clare McGuigan of Lifford/ Strabane AC was third in that race.
In the Women’s Teams, Finn Valley took victory.
The Donegal Men’s Championship was won by Karol Duggan of Letterkenny AC just ahead of Gerard Gallagher of Finn Valley in what was another tight battle. In third there was Darren McBrearty.
The Men’s Teams event was won by Letterkenny AC ahead of Finn Valley.
