The Donegal League got off to a great start in their 3 team Oscar Traynor group, beating Inishowen League in their opening fixture at Diamond Park in Ballyare.
A deflected Shaun Doherty free kick put Inishowen in the lead on 12 minutes. Just two minutes later Kevin McHugh had equalised for Donegal and then Ryan Shields scored the winner on the 35th minute.
