Minister to be pressed on funding for Donegal special needs services


The Minister with responsibility for Disabilities will again today, be pressed for a commitment to be given on recurrent funding for two organisations in Donegal which provide services for children with intellectual disabilites.
Donegal Senator Padraig MacLochlainn will be raising the issue with Minister Finian McGrath this afternoon, its after he told the Seanad last week that iCare and the Bluestacks Special Needs Foundation are being taken for granted by the HSE and the Government.
Both service providers were denied funding last year under the Ability Programme.
Seantor MacLochlainn says the Minister needs now, without delay to ensure that HSE Service Level Agreements and fixed annual funding are sanctioned………..
