Victory for Cathan McCourt in Donegal Forestry Rally

Cathan McCourt and Barry McNulty have won the Donegal Forestry Rally.
They had just over a minute to spare in their Ford Fiesta ahead of Niall McCullagh and Ryan McCloskey in a Mitsubishi Evo 9 at the end of the six special stages event which was based in Bundoran.
Conor McCourt and Caolan McKenna in a Ford Fiesta R5 were third, some 13.2 seconds further back.
Michael Carbin, who went into the event as championship leader, had to settle for eighth place overall.
There was a big turnout for the event which was round four of the Irish Forestry Championship and round two of the Donegal Commercials Club Championship.
