Serious health and safety concerns have led to calls for the temporary closure of the lighthouse road on Tory Island, and an immediate allocation of funding to improve it.
The road is in a serious state of disrepair, and is now in a treacherous condition.
Councillor Micheal Cholm MacGiolla Easbuig says the road should be closed pending an immediate injection of funding to improve it.
He says Comharchumann Thoraí Teo is doing tremendous work on the island, and is lobbying hard for road funding, and also a new ferry.
Cllr Mac Giolla Easbuig says restoring this road would be a huge benefit to the whole island……….
