Nine people rescued after vessel got into difficulty off Malin Head


Nine people have been rescued after their small fishing vessel got into difficulty off the coast of Malin Head yesterday morning.
Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to the scene shortly after 11am and the vessel and all onboard were safely towed to Malin Head pier.
In a separate incident on Saturday night, the All Weather Lifeboat was launched at 8:45pm following reports of a boat drifting not far from Port Salon Pier.
The boat was recovered and towed to safety and it emerged there was nobody onboard.
