‘Go Visit Donegal’ campaign places major focus on internal tourism

Donegal County Council is stepping up it’s campaign to encourage people living in Donegal to explore the county and learn more about the place where they live.
The ‘Go Visit Donegal’ campaign is placing a major focus on internal tourism for 2020.
In a statement, Donegal Tourism says as the country moves on to the next stage of its remarkable response to the global pandemic, it’s time for people in the county to discover what’s on their doorstep.
This could be a matter of taking the homeschooling outdoors, or adults rediscovering their own local history.
County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Rena Donaghey says there is so much to explore without leaving Donegal, and in this unprecedented era of Zoom quizzes and social media challenges, perhaps it’s time people et themselves the challenge of visiting some of the world class destinations that they may have regarded as perhaps too close to consider.
Donegal Tourism has launched a number of packages to promote Internal Tourism, and also announced a photography competition via the Go Visit Donegal Facebook page.
