William O’Connor has been appointed assistant Manager at League of Ireland First Division side UCD.
The Inishowen man who recently left Shelbourne U19’s takes up the role under Andy Meyler.
O’Connor was first team coach for Ollie Horgan at Finn Harps and was also previously managere of the Republic of Ireland Schoolboys team.
William is not the only Inishowen man at UCD, former Harps defender Sam Todd is currently playing his football with the students having left Ballybofey at the end of last season.
