There were traffic difficulties for a time this evening following a two car collision close to Ballyarr football pitch between Letterkenny and Milford.
Emergency services, including ambulance personnel were at the scene, and a number of people have been brought to hospital.
There are no reports of serious injuries, and gardai have indicated the road has now reopened.
