League of Ireland Premier Division struggler’s Waterford sprung a surprise on Sunday beating Sligo Rovers 1-0 at the RSC.
Cian Kavanagh’s second half strike gave Waterford the win and a valuable three points which leaves them just a point of 8th placed Finn Harps.
With the loss The Bit O’ Red missed the chance to go level on points with Shamrock Rovers and St. Pat’s at the top of the table
