A Post Mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of a man who died yesterday after being found unconscious on Arranmore Island.
The man, who was in his 50s, was found unconscious on a beach shortly before 10 yesterday morning. He was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardai say the outcome of the post mortem will determine the course of their investigation, but at present, the incident is being treated as a tragic accident.
