There was double joy for the Donegal teams at the recent All Ireland Pool Finals in Kerry.
For the first time ever, Donegal were the outright men’s winners. Having come through a tight group and a semi final against Antrim they beat the high fancied favourites Cavan 14 -6 in the final to be crowned All Ireland Champions.
The Donegal ladies would also be celebrating as they headed back up the road with an All Ireland crown, beating Kildare 5-2 in the final.
