A memorial has been unveiled on Inishbofin in memory of those lost at sea.
The monument erected on the island honours those who lost their lives in the sea in the Magheroarty, Inishbofin area.
Councillor Michael McClafferty says such monuments are important as they bring comfort and solace to affected families.
He says it is a great way to protect the heritage of the area:
