Gardaí are investigating a burglary in Buncrana yesterday evening.
The incident happened at Earlsfort, at some stage between 7.30pm and 9pm.
The key of a car was stolen from a house which had been left unlocked and the car, a white Hyundai Kona ‘VGZ’ was then taken from the driveway of the house.
The car was located a short time later near the front of the estate but it had considerable damage to it.
There was nothing else taken from the house and nothing was stolen from the car.
Gardai are appealing to anybody who may have seen the car in question being driven within the Earlsfort area or the Buncrana area in general during those times to contact them in Buncrana.
Gardai are also appealing to anybody who believes that they may have captured the car on their dashcam footage to make the footage available to Gardaí.
