Residents demand flooding issues be addressed

 

There are calls for an urgent meeting in relation to flooding issues along the Foyle and Letterkenny Roads in Derry.

It’s understood that there have been regular flooding issues there for many years with residents demanding remedial measures be carried out.

The problematic areas are adjacent to the River Foyle – Cllr Patricia Logue believes that a comprehensive inspection and survey programme is required to assess the structural condition of the network.

Cllr Logue says with more housing planned in the area over the coming years, it is imperative that issues are resolved now:
