A Donegal councillor is welcoming new legislation allowing pensioners to purchase their council homes.
Under present regulation pensioners are not allowed to purchase their council homes because “they are not in receipt of regular income” other than their social welfare payments.
Cllr. Michael Naughton says changes in income thresholds will address this issue, and that’s only right and proper………….
