The Taoiseach has said the return of Covid restrictions can’t be justified.
Amid skyrocketing numbers of Covid cases and pressure on the hospital system Micheál Martin has said severe illness is not increasing.
The number of people in ICU has remained steady even while the numbers in hospital have increased.
With that in mind Micheál Martin says it’s planned to allow legal Covid regulations to elapse tomorrow:
