A group of people who were scammed by a fake holiday home advert on Facebook’s marketplace say they cannot get the ad removed from the social media platform.
Neil, a member of the group, told Greg Hughes on today’s Nine til Noon Show that the ad purports to show a house in Gweedore, but when they looked into the issue, they found the house is actually in Rossnowlagh, and the scammer seems to have stolen the picture from another accomodation site.
Neil says he initially booked the house for a week in August, and then became aware there was an issue……
