A status yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for Donegal.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening with localised downpours leading to poor driving conditions.
The warning will remain in place until 9pm tonight.
Other counties affected are Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath.
