Gardaí from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit nabbed 11 motorists for speeding in one 100 kph stretch of road alone on Bank Holiday Monday.
They say that 11 Fixed Charge Penalty Notices for speeding offences in a 100 kph speed zone were handed out.
Elsewhere Gardaí say a driver was stopped by Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit in Letterkenny yesterday for a speeding offence in a 50 kmh speed zone in which there are ongoing roadworks.
The driver then tested positive for cocaine and an arrest was made.
