NI parties meet head of civil service as stalemate continues

Political parties in Northern Ireland have met the head of the civil service there as the Stormont stalemate continues.

They discussed the need to agree plans for local government.

The DUP has been clear it won’t return to devolved institutions until it’s satisfied with progress on the Northern Ireland Protocol.
