Seven cases of monkeypox confirmed in Ireland

Seven cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in Ireland.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre says all cases are in men aged 30 to 50.

In the UK, a further 18 cases of the virus have been found in England – and another in Scotland.

The Health Security Agency says that brings the known total across the UK to 321 – including two in Northern Ireland and three in Wales.
