Ireland has second highest prices in EU – 40% above average

Prices in Ireland are 40 percent higher than the EU average, with energy costs 89 percent above the norm across the bloc.

Figures show the country is only second to Denmark when it comes to high prices.

Ireland has the fourth most expensive restaurants and hotels, while healthcare is 72 percent above the average.
