Aer Lingus says pressures from Air Traffic Control strikes and ongoing issues at some airports necessitated the cancellation of 13 flights over the weekend.
In a statement the company says the problem was made worse by a spike in the number of Covid cases amongst their staff in the last number of days.
The airline has apologised to those customers impacted.
