Cathaoirleach hopeful today’s rescheduled meeting will go ahead as planned

The Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council says he’s hopeful today’s rescheduled special meeting of Donegal County Council will go ahead as planned.

Last week’s meeting was adjourned, after a number of disruptions, and allegations that Cllr Gary Doherty’s mobile phone was stolen by another Councillor.

The meeting is regarding a report into the Council’s purchase of five homes at the An Crannla estate in Buncrana, where the Council was found to have acted properly.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr Liam Blaney, says Gardaí will be present – but hopes all Councillors will act with respect today:
