It’s emerged the rising cost of materials is impacting the delivery of road projects in Donegal.
A roads programme was agreed and a budget allocated at the beginning of this year. However, some residents in the East of the county have been informed that a portion of the route will not be upgraded or repaired as the budget set out is not enough to cover associated costs.
Councillor Gary Doherty believes Councillors should be given an opportunity to identify what works can be done within the given budget.
