A mother is appealing for people to be mindful of burning rubbish on the beach after her daughter had her feet badly burnt on discarded litter.
Caoimhe and her family were visiting Sandford beach in Malin Head when her toddler burned her feet on rubbish that had been left discarded on the beach.
The child, who has additional needs, received burns on her feet and the mother said she was left traumatised by the incident.
Speaking on today’s nine til noon, the appealed for people to clean up after themselves when visiting beaches.
