Donegal County Council has today published a Compulsory Purchase Order to acquire lands in South West Donegal as part of the Fintra Bridge and Road Alignment Project.
The long awaited development will include a new bridge across the Fintra River, road realignment works and a new pedestrian and cycle route.
The CPO being initiated by Donegal County Council will see many landowners in Fintra and Killybegs affected as well as the carpark and public roads associated with Killybegs GAA Club, St Columba’s Diocesan Trust and Council owned lands.
Six public rights of way are to be closed to facilitate the development also.
