A 36 year old man arrested under the Terrorism Act in Strabane yesterday was rearrested under PACE legislation.
He has been released after questioning as part of an investigation into New IRA activity in the Strabane area.
However, the rearrest is on foot of suspicion of possession of extreme pornography and possession of prohibited images of children.
He has since been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service on the latter offences.
