Gardaí are warning of an increase in the thefts of metal and construction materials following two incidents in the county.
On August 23rd around 12.45pm, Gardai received a report of a burglary at Carrowmaddy, Burt and damage was caused to the rear door, window and patio door of the property.
A Copper cylinder, kitchen units and an immersion heater were stolen during the incident.
In a separate incident in Castleshanaghan, Letterkenny, over €1,000 of armoured cable was stolen from a new build house last week between august 22 at 5.15pm and 8am on August 23.
