One million Electric Ireland customers will see their bills increase again this October, as the company announces its third price hike this year.
The average electricity bill will increase by 26.7%, meaning households will be paying an additional €450 annually.
Meanwhile gas tariffs will increase by 37.5%, adding about €500 to the average annual bill.
