Senator wants autumn clock change to be scrapped

A Cork senator has called for the clock change this autumn to be scrapped to ease the energy crisis.

Tim Lombard wants the European Union to execute plans it had in 2019, which have since stalled, to keep the summer time.

He says talks to move on this with Britain – which is not an EU member – should start urgently……….
