A second public consultation on improvements to the N13 from Bridgend gets underway on Tuesday.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Donegal County Council are currently investigating options to improve the route from the west of Bridgend to where it connects with the A2 Buncrana Road in Derry.
A public consultation outlining the improvement options developed following the Constraints Study Public Consultation held in March-April this year is due to be held from September 6th to October 4th.
An exhibition will be held at An Grianán Hotel on Tuesday from 10am to 8pm.
The options under consideration include maintaining the existing road layout and on-line and off-line bypass improvements.
In tandem with the options being considered by the TII and Donegal County Council, the Department for Infrastructure in the North are also currently progressing the design of the proposed improvement of the A2 to provide seamless improvements from west of Bridgend into Derry.
Recent research commissioned by the North-West Strategic Growth Partnership has established that the N13 / A2 border crossing at Bridgend is the most strategically important and busiest crossing point between Donegal and Derry.
