A senator has expressed his concerns after Liz Truss failed to mention the Northern Ireland protocol in her first speech as prime minister.
Last night Liz Truss announced her new cabinet, Pro- Brexit MP Chris Heaton-Harris was appointed as the new Northern Ireland Secretary.
The Northern Ireland Protocol was not mentioned in her first speech, while she praised Boris Johnson for completing Brexit.
Senator Niall Blaney says it appears the Northern Ireland protocol does not seem to be a big issue to Liz Truss, however, it remains a major issue here.
