The Ardara to Meenaneary road, also known as the Glengesh Pass, is currently impassable due to a build up of ice.
Local Gardaí say the road is particularly bad at the S bends, near the viewing bay in the area.
A gritter has been requested for the area, but motorists are being urged to avoid the road currently.
