A petition by the Enough is Enough campaign group has reached 10,000 signatures.
The group was set up by the Tyrone GAA County Committee in November of last year to campaign for road safety works to commence on A5.
An accident two weeks ago saw three more lives lost on the road.
A pre inquiry public meeting is taking place this evening at 7:30pm in the Silver Birch Hotel in Omagh.
