There’s calls for a change in policy as it relates to hedge cutting.
Hedge cutting is prohibited between March and the end of August.
However, Councillor Micheál Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig says the level of overgrowth in some parts of the county is a matter of life and death.
He believes there needs to be an overhaul of the current legislation to ensure public safety:
