Lough Swilly Volunteers have issued a reminder for people in difficulty on or in the water to dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
This was after the Volunteers came to the aid of a 33 tonne fishing vessel on Friday morning with 4 people on board.
The fishermen were rescued and taken to the safety of Ballyhooriskey Pier.
