The need for safety works on the Windyhall Road in Letterkenny has again been raised with Donegal County Council, with members asking if the road design office is on the same page as the municipal district.
Officials confirmed that funding has been applied for under two national schemes, but pointed out that in parallel to this, works are progressing with the development of the Northern Relief road that would mitigate against the need for Safety works on the Windy Hall Road.
They hope works can being on that next year, but Cllr Ciaran Brogan says when a similar situation arose in Leck, funding was found, but there seems to be little appetite from Lifford to submit an application……………..
