Irish Heart Foundation warns of more deaths if government decides not to fund vital services

The Irish Heart Foundation’s warning that more stroke patients will die and suffer severe disabilities if the government pulls the plug on a pledge to fund vital services.

It comes after the HSE said there would be no funding for the National Stroke Strategy this year.

The foundation’s Kathryn Walsh says failing to roll out the strategy will cost lives without saving the health service a cent.
