Two cars have already been seized and a motorist arrested in Donegal.

As part of ongoing patrols and checkpoints, the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit are out on the roads conducting Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoints today.

Last night, the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested a learner driver at a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoint after they tested positive for cannabis during a roadside drug test.

After being stopped by another Garda unit, it transpired the driver was disqualified from driving.

The vehicle was seized and the motorist is due in Court.
