Finance Minister Michael McGrath has been confirmed as Ireland’s nominee for a European Commissionership.
The Cabinet has signed off on the move which sees one of the Government’s most senior Ministers depart domestic politics.
Jack Chambers is set to be named the new Minister for Finance.
