Number of people awaiting treatment in Irish hospitals reaches record high of over 911,00

 

The government is being called on to meet its own targets when it comes to increasing hospital capacity.

It comes after the number of people awaiting treatment reaches a record high of over 911,000.

According to the State’s Waiting List Action Plan for 2024 numbers should have reduced by 19,600, but instead have increased by over 40,000.
