Concern has been expressed by the Mayor of Letterkenny and Milford Municipal District that skip bags are being used in lieu of bins by some homes in the area.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle told members that such bags have their place, but should not be outside a house for more than three days. In some cases, he said, they can be there for months, and that’s unacceptable.
Cllr McMonagle says it’s vital that an official policy be implemented as quickly as possible.
