A driver was clocked speeding 79KPH over the speed limit last night.
Gardaí from Buncrana Roads Policing Unit were operating a speed check on the N13 when they detected a vehicle being driven at 179KPH in a 100KPH speed zone.
They say the driver has been arrested and is charged to appear in court.
Gardaí are appealing to road users to be especially mindful as the Orange Weather warning may lead to difficult driving conditions.
